Welp folks, it's been awhile. I seem to neglect this blog while I'm away at school and for that I'm sorry. However, I am back on the east coast for Easter break. This semester has been really busy for me and I haven't had time to just relax, but this break came just in time. Spring semester seems to be flying by and in about a month, it'll be summer. Let me catch you up on all that I have been doing. I was recently initiated into a sorority on my campus, Pi Beta Phi. Honestly, I never really saw myself as a sorority girl, but even though I've only been a member for just about three months now, I already see how it's making a difference in my life. I am still an ambassador for boohoo.com and am in the process of organizing my event that is slowly creeping up on me. Lastly, I am directing a 10 minute play for a festival that my theatre department is putting on at the end of the semester. I am both nervous and excited for everyone to see this play, for it is something I love - the writer, my actors, everything. The topic/message of this play is one that is very relevant in our society today and I just want to do it justice. That's all for now and I PROMISE to keep my posts up. Expect a lot more when summer hits!

OOTD: Fairy Lights & Vines

Playsuit - boohoo
Sweater - boohoo
Boots - boohoo
Necklace - boohoo

It's starting to get a little chiller here in sunny Los Angeles, but I am not complaining one bit. It is finally starting to feel like fall and I am loving it. At the moment, I have been obsessing over rompers, especially with sweaters over-top. To me, it is the perfect fall look, perfect for southern California! What I love about rompers is that they are so versatile, no matter the color or pattern. They can be dressed up or down, for any occasion! I wore this little number browsing the shops in Venice Beach, particularly the ones on Abbot Kinney Blvd. But this look could be for a night out as well- just take off the sweater, throw on a pair a heels, dainty earrings, maybe your hair in a sleek pony, and you're ready to take on the town!

Only 3 more weeks left of this fall semester and then it's winter break. Scary how fast time flies. It feels like I just got off the plane, but that was back in August...three months ago! Where has the time gone? Anyway, this semester has been crazy fun, a little too fast, but overall rewarding. I can't wait to be back on the East Coast though to see family and friends. I'm also excited for this holiday season. I would have to say it's my favorite. I get so festive - the snow, the decorations, the movies, Christmas itself! Cannot wait! All I have to do is get through finals and then its straight on the plane back to good 'ol Jersey.

How is everyone's fall semester going - is it stressful, do you hate it, or is it the best semester yet? Also, what are you looking forward to most this holiday season? Is it the movies, the homemade gingerbread cookies or is it the fashion? If fashion is the answer, then ya'll should pop on over to boohoo.com! They have an amazing holiday collection right now - perfect for parties, Christmas, even New Year's! Go! Go! Go! You won't be disappointed!

OOTD: Comfy & Casual

Top - Urban Outfitters
Shorts - Pacsun (LA Hearts)
Shoes - Converse
Watch - Marc Jacobs
Rings - Forever 21
Necklace/Bracelet - Silpada
Raybans - Clubmasters
Bag - Dooney and Bourke

My mom and I headed to a small shopping village across the river to browse around. While there, we popped into one of our favorite restaurants that makes the best fish tacos. It's a really cute village that has an assortment of stores. Truthfully, I usually go there just to look at their gardens - especially during the summer when their flowers are in full bloom. Knowing that it was going to be hot and humid, I wanted to wear something comfy and lightweight. I've been living in these scalloped shorts from Pacsun for weeks now. They are so versatile - I can dress them down or up. I also love this elephant crop top from Urban Outfitters. Some of you may not know this, but I'm obsessed with elephants and their symbolism. I wore my converse just because I wasn't feeling sandals for the day, as I was going to be walking around a lot. I never used to like wearing sneakers, but I have grown to really like white converse, seeing as they go with just about anything!
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed your week and that it wasn't too long for you. The weekend has finally arrived! Time to relax and enjoy the sunny weather!

OOTD: Our Spots Are Different Colors

Cheetah Dress - Loft
Shoes - Steve Madden
Earrings: Cache

Guess who's back, back again, Lindsey's back, tell your blog friends :) Yes, I am starting to blog again.  I'm excited to get back into the swing of things. I have neglected this way too much and honestly, I don't know why. I guess because of college applications, finals, and the thought of graduation just took up every bit of free time I had. But no, not anymore. College starts in less than two weeks, nerve-raking, but exciting. Freshman year should be focused on studies you say, but I'm going to make it a priority to keep you guys updated and post often as I can. I'm going to have a goal sheet to keep me on track.
Truthfully, I have missed the blog world a lot -- getting ready, taking the pictures, writing the posts, and reading the lovely comments. It feels great to be back! Also, I am trying to keep up with my YouTube channels. I have deleted my fashion/beauty channel. I plan to create a new one this weekend/upcoming week. I am thinking of titling it the same as my blog so it will be an easy find. Let me know what you guys think! All in all, I am excited for this blogs future and mine. Spread the word. Speak to you guys soon!!

OOTD: Transitioning into Fall

High-low top - Forever 21
Leggings - Express
Boots - Steve Madden
Scarf - Express

Since the weather outside is getting rather chilly, I want to take my summer trends and transition them into this upcoming fall season. High-low tops were really big trends for the spring and summer. I do believe with the right matching, high-low shirts can still be big this fall. I took this high-low top from Forever 21 and added my must have fall accessories. I decided to go with black which is a fall-winter color. I paired the top with my black leggings from express. Scarfs are always my go-to fall accessory. Wearing this with any outfit will make it fall-esk. Boots are another fall and winter must have. Last year I was searching all over for the perfect black boots. I happened to come across these Steve Madden ones on Victoria's Secret. Let's just say that these can be used to dress up or dress down an outfit. They are the perfect fall boot. With adding any of these items, you can take a summer trend and transfer it into fall. By just adding a scarf or boots an outfit is instantly perfect for fall. Fall is just around the corner so start carving those pumpkins and buying that pumpkin spice coffee!!
